I get that paying child support on a minimum wage job is hard, and with 30 kids, it would be impossible, but why hasn't this guy gotten a second, or even third job? He'd be so tired, he wouldn't be able to fool around.

It grates me when hardworking people have to work that much just to get by without government assistance, but he can't manage to keep his zipper up longer than it's down and he expects help. Pfft.

Well, I hope he gets help from the state. I mean, child support isn't about punishing the father. It's about helping the mother and the kids. If the mother and kids aren't getting helped, then the state needs to step in. So that they get more than 50 cents a month.

It turns out the OctoDad in question has been in the jail house since 2009 and hasn't fathered more children. In short the story was made up.

yeah, I worked it out and that's at least $46 per child. Still too little for the kids to live on, but not $1.49. Not to mention, the guy either earned more than the minimum wage, or worked longer than the standard 40-hourn work week. ( it works out to somewhere around $9.46 per hour assuming a 40-hour work week) he probably should have tried to avoid having so many kids, but he's not quite as bad as he seems.
