Seriously, there are BETTER ways of dealing with bullies, rather than having the entire class being told to ASSAULT them.

Now this is the other extreme of bullying. We got those who do nothing and then we got those who become bullies in fighting bullies.

Of course, part of me wonders how this kid was being a "bully" in the first place.

you know, I have had fantasies of teachers doing this to some of the bullies at the school I went to... that said, they are fantasies, I know that it is not something that ever should come to pass, like my fantasy of flying sans wings or cheating on my husband with Shia Lebauf.
All this teacher did was teach a classroom full of kids that bullying is okay as long as the victim deserves it... which, oh, look hard enough and you will find a reason that anyone deserves it (not necessarily a legit reason, but a reason)... this is just what we need.

Why can't there be a middle ground with dealing with bullies? Its either teachers not doing anything or telling them to beat them up.

You know, when you said the title said it all, I assumed that there wasn't much more to the story. Just a teacher going way beyond the pale and getting hammered for it.

You neglected to mention that the kid was 6 years old.

Seriously, it would be wrong if the supposed bully was 16. But 6? What the hell is wrong with some people?

Just for curiosity's sake... why? I know nothing about the guy; I'd heard the name, but until this thread had the vague idea it was a woman. But a quick Google search shows up someone who, though not quite to my personal taste, is quite easy on the eyes.
