Arrested in Store-Thief, Customer, or Shoplifter

This thread here inspired me to make this one. If someone is arrested in store but might've stolen something somewhere else, would that make them a thief, shoplifter or customer?

Are you sure you have the right link, purplecat? The thread it sent me to doesn't have anything to do with shoplifting.

But to answer your question, if someone shoplifts, that makes them a shoplifter. They don't stop being one the second they leave the scene of the crime and enter another store.
