  • First you go through a civil war

Then a childrens magazine publishes happy instructions for a Molotov Cocktail
I'm lost without a paddle and I'm headed up sh*t creek.

I got one foot on a banana peel and the other in the Twilight Zone.

Eh, i'm for sharing knowledge, I find it funny myth busters used to give exact recipes for some of the explosives segments now they get bleeped out. I learned plenty about reactions in chemistry class but people get all pissed off when you also mention that combining chemistry with physics is how most explosives work.

There is nothing wrong with knowledge but how you use it that matters.

I remember back in the 80's when crack cocaine was becoming really popular, NBC did an entire segment on it, including how to make it. They printed the "recipe" on the screen and showed someone making it like it was a cooking show.

You're right though. There's nothing wrong with sharing the knowledge. What we need to be more concerned with is the person that uses that knowledge and how they're raised.

I've trained martial arts since I was 6 and had the "benefit" of having a Marine Corps Drill Instructor for a dad. If my parents didn't raise me right, or if I was some sociopath, I could potentially do a lot of damage out there.

Well, the thing about crack is that the core ingredient itself is illegal. The recipe wouldn't tell you how to make cocaine from other materials, but only how to turn one form of it into another, and the people who would use that information, if they didn't have it already, would have other ready sources for it than NBC.

Coke is not actually illegal unless you do not happen to either be licensed in the use and possession [pharmacist, dentist and plastic surgeons all can be licensed to have coke in their possession for various uses] or a valid prescription for coke [it is found in some preparations that are used in highly veinous locations - one thing topical coke does is shrink capillaries. Great for optical and oral surgery actually.
