  • Gays are responsible for....

    Hurricane Sandy.

Little hint: if you have to incorporate Mathematics into your little argument about how gays are responsible for a hurricane (because it's been 21 years since the "perfect storm", which breaks down into two "perfect" numbers in religion), you're doing it wrong.

    Thoughts?

hubs is still waiting for the one blaming halloween.

at this point, blaming natural disasters on gay people is part of the dumbass-PR package. it's no longer suprising. just sort of pathetic.
All uses of You, You're, and etc are generic unless specified otherwise.

Same thing happens every storm; the only difference is which preacher is desperate enough for attention to stoop to it.

There's actually a photo already on the Facebook group where I found the original article about Hurricane Sandy, which goes as follows:

"Hurricanes form from rising moisture created by hot, steamy man-action aboard a gay Caribbean cruise. Now, when that sin gets high enough, it makes the angels cry, and those tears fall to the earth in the form of massive precipitation. Homosexuals are a vital part of the water cycle, that's why the gay symbol is a rainbow." -Stephen Colbert.
(it WAS intended to be satirical I think)

I gotta wonder how many of those preachers actually believe this or are just using this as a way to bully people.

            I saw a similiar atticle.

I will say this: FREE publicity about how stupid you and your wingnut collegues are.

You ever notice how hurricanes and other natural disasters are always blamed on those the preachers don't agree with?

Never seen a preacher say "This hurricane was actually caused by the judgemental and bigoted, hateful attitude that I and so many of my colleagues have spewed upon the homosexual community. God is angry that so many of His chosen mouthpieces have sought to vilify and even drive to suicide a group of His children who committed no more sin than being the way God Himself created them. If we don't change our attitudes and stop being so violent and hateful, God will destroy us. I have repented of my bigotry and shortsightedness, and I beseech you to do the same before God punishes us further."

Yeah, never see that, but if you ask me, to use their own argument that the hurricane is some kind of divine punishment, it's more likely because of THAT than because gay people exist and want equal rights.

Oh, and the whole destruction of the Native Americans and stealing their land, slavery and treating people like property and objects, supression of women and their rights, starvation, rape, murder, greed, and political avarice that abounds.

But no. It's about gay people wanting to get married. **insert eyeroll here**

Can I blame gay guys for making me a more eligible bachelor? And by blame I mean thank them.

                    I think they'll accept kisses - if you're cute.

Bullies. Asshats like that are always bullies.

It makes me mad to read shit like this. God doesn't pull that kid of crap; he doesn't punish the innocent to get to the guilty. Saying God wills it is a massive, cowardly cop out or an excuse to be ignorant to people you don't like.
Good news! Your insurance company says they'll cover you. Unfortunately, they also say it will be with dirt.

C'mon, guys and gals, blaming the gays? No, it was the Republicans. Look at the 2008 election results. New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont all voted Democratic.

Also, for 2012: All of those same states are leaning toward Obama again.

So, for this one instance, it is NOT the gays. (Gays, you might still be on the hook for causing the Giants to win the World Series, however).

I told a coworker that if I had that kind of power, I woild not put so many people through that much devastation, I would just make certain wingnuts fly away.
