That is just.... I know people have said it but really, Does Bloomberg understand WHAT a homeless person is exactly? I mean, really. You know what is worse for people's health then eating unhealthy foods? NOT EATING!

I have friends in Manhatten who go and buy 2 sodas each every time they go to a restaurant.

How many of these policies do you think will go out the window once the man is now longer the mayor?

I think Bloomberg thinks himself as untouchable. Considering that he initiated this stupid ban right after a fucking super storm ransacked a sizeable portion of the city and was followed up by a heavy snow storm that the city is STILL trying to recover from. In most sane people's minds, this is what's called a career killer.

Bloomberg is partially to blame but the majority of the blame in on the cowardly citizens of NYC for not standing up to him. If they would just stand up and be the "tough" folks they are reputed to be, this BS wouldn't be much more than just mentioned before it was shot down.
If he and the health department want citizens to make inform decisions then require certain information on the menu boards and menus. Folks can decided for themselves if they want to heed the advice or not.

I agree with hinakiba777 even unhealthy food beats the heck out of nothing, although those cool water sandwichs on Sunday-go-to-meetin' buns are mighty tasty
