  • First Asshole Tippers, Now This

Granted it is his restaurant, but that is no way to keep his customers. And I seriously wonder how his daughter's and her kid's life is ruined for her being gay (other than maybe bullying).

Why oh why can't zealots like him just keep his nose out of other people's lives. For fuck's sake. And I really don't see how his daughter's life could be ruined either. Unless HE ruined it by being an asshole.

Is there really any doubt that he ruined it? If he's not afraid to show his bigotry to strangers, then it is almost guaranteed that he will show it to his family.

I love the part where the owner claims he did it out of love. Bullshit. Another idiot who thinks trying to change people is saving them.

Speaking of love and religion, didn't God say to love people for who they are?

I read something about God resting so I choose to follow him in that.

Well I do prefer "Love thy neighbor as thy would thyself", but since some people don't like themselves much...that could turn out bad.

You know, that actually explains a lot.

If they took a "live and let live" attitude, they wouldn't be zealots.

If all the couple was doing was holding hands, that's not a clear sign they're in a lesbian relationship. The guy had no evidence when he left the note.

                          This.

Honestly, you can make the Bible say pretty much whatever you want it to say with a little mental gymnastics.

As for the story, I was reading some of the comments on the article. Some of the commenters thought it was interesting that the owner chose to wait until after they'd paid the bill to give them the letter. Evidently, their money was good enough for him.

Personally, I like "What you do unto the least of my children, you do unto me." But I gather that's not a very popular one.
"You are who you are on your worst day, Durkon. Anything less is a comforting lie you tell yourself to numb the pain." - Evil
"You're trying to be Lawful Good. People forget how crucial it is to keep trying, even if they screw it up now and then." - Good

It's a popular quotation, but too often ignored when it comes to practice.
"My in-laws are country people and at night you can hear their distinctive howl."
