    ...or killing himself and/or others. Don't forget that's the whole reason drinking and driving is illegal in the first place, and should be the #1 reason anyone shouldn't do it, regardless of whatever punishment the law has for it. And you'd have to be living under a rock if you didn't know the dangers of drinking and driving.

    Where I live, if someone who is underaged is caught drinking and driving, it's a very serious offense. They might not jail you (besides perhaps for a night while the cops wait for the parents to deliberate on what to do when he/she gets home) but your license is suspended for a pretty long amount of time, you are put on probation for at least a year or two, and you have a criminal record that could affect a number of things later on, including your insurance premiums.

      The one thing about my state is is that ANY OWI/DWI/OUI offence stays on your record for 65 YEARS (basically insuring it NEVER leaves or is expundged)whether you did a fine or jail time OR under/over-age.
