To summarize: boys' shirt says "be a hero," girls' shirt says "I need a hero."

I think both designs should be available in both shapes; then no problem.

The one on the left looks like a SD Chargers jersey.

I'd be more worried about the cut of the female shirt. That's not going to look good on ANYONE heavier than a 0.

well looking at the ENTIRE collection, rather than the two cherry picked from the new design sets, it's pretty balanced. oh except that there are four styles of women's underwear, all featuring the female characters, and the men's boxers only feature the villains-but since that's against men(implying villainy), it can't be sexist

As BlaqueKatt has already noted: Those two shirts were cherry picked.

For the entire line, best go to the source: Disney Marvel Shirts

Can anyone tell me the difference between the "shirts for men" and the "shirts for women"? Because looking at one of each, side by side, not draped over a mannequin, I can't see a damn thing other than some arbitrary label applied by Disney.

Still won't stop me from buying men's clothes.

The wording for each style I can a little sexism. But thats if I was really looking deep into it.

                The entire collection also includes:

                "I Only Date Heroes"
                "I Only Kiss Heroes"
"Look What I Can Do!" ( With Black Widow doing the splits to show off her crotch )
                and junior thongs.

Looking at the entire collection as a whole makes it worse, not better ;p

Thongs aren't inherently sexual. I knew a lot of girls who went commando as opposed to having panties creeping up their butt cracks all day who would have loved to have the option to have thongs, instead.

Plus, "junior" is usually a fit not an age suggestion.

Plus, those first two can be for guys as much as gals.

correct, I'm 37 and still wear "junior" sizes in most clothing-women's clothing is named different from men's.

                    Petite(shorter legs)
                    Junior/misses(average height)
                    Tall(longer legs)
Women's(more hip room in the cut)

Notice the women's underwear is the heroines while the men's is only available in villain print, that says more to me than anything else. Scary that people are so programmed that they'll take offense to even perceived slights.

                    as for
"I only date/kiss heros" I'm wondering how that is somehow "sexist", would you prefer "I only date/kiss total jerks", just trying to wrap my brain around how positive=negative.

Off a mannequin? Sure. Is it a block shirt when laid down? Men's cut. Does it curve in? Women's. That's all. Can men and women look good in both cuts? Yes, but it's typically harder for a guy to get into the baby doll tee.

Honestly, when I saw the I need a hero shirt, all I could start thinking was the scene from Shrek II. Am I the only one?

Look at the Disney site with both "men's" and "women's" shirts laid side by side. There is no difference at all that I could see in the cut or shape between the two. The only difference was the label given to the shirts by someone at Disney. I didn't actually see any baby doss style shirts, and I'm not sure the lower ones on the mannequins aren't just regular shirts, too, but taped back to look feminine.

I was being mildly snarky. I could care less about the shirts themselves. I think people just want to find things to be upset about mostly

Except that it's the people getting riled up that are not-helping the most.
