  • The schools just keep on proving.....

    how insane they are.

    http://pro.wmal-af.tritonflex.com/co...6543&is_corp=0

    The basics:

an 11 year old boy was suspended for 10 days (later reduced to 1 day) because on the school bus a few weeks after the SandyHook shootings he made the statement : "I wish I had a gun to protect everyone." The bus driver dragged him back to school where he was interograted by the school priniciple and a sherriffs deputy alone with no parent or other witnesses. The deputy then took the child home where the deputy made noises about searching the home (without a valid warrant) and forcing the parents to fillout a 4 page questionaire.

The principle is quoted as saying:
"The principal told me (the child's Father) that with what happened at Sandy Hook if you say the word 'gun' in my school you are going to get suspended for 10 days," Henkelman said in an interview with WMAL.com.
The child's Father was in the military (Other articles alluded to him being a Green Bere) and the son had idolized them and his Father.
I'm lost without a paddle and I'm headed up sh*t creek.

I got one foot on a banana peel and the other in the Twilight Zone.

Wow, a ten day suspension just for saying the word "gun"? Lucky thing I did't go to that school or I'd say it on purpose and then nail them with First Amendment violations.

And they actually sent the police over this? Don't they know the difference between a kid pretending to be a hero and a genuine psychopath?

Jesus Christ the schools are retarded.

Having watched many of my elementary students sharpen their pencils in the middle of class with a boxcutter, stuff like this seems even more insane than it did when I was still living in the US.

She summed it up in a nutshell quite nicely. Our nation has turned into a mental glob of jello, because it gets too shaken up at the least little thing.

Or you get a kid who's into electronics making the comment "The colour on our TV has gone crazy - I think the blue electron gun isn't working", or "This oscillator circuit doesn't have a transistor - it uses a Gunn diode instead".
