I thought I've heard of lunatic lawsuits, but this one just causes headaches and irritation to sane minds.

TL;DR: Chris Sevier, a lawyer in Nashville, TN, is suing Apple for letting him view pornography and causing the end of his marriage.

I do not have any sympathy for this guy.
*He admitted that he made a mistake typing facebook.com and "accidentally" going to fuckbook.com.
* He got "addicted" and that caused him to "lose desire for his wife."
* He's being charged with stalking country music star John Rich. I'm sure that had absolutely nothing to do with the end of his marriage.
* Many companies offer internet filtering software for Apple products.

On the standard US keyboard, the "A" key is nowhere near the "U" key, and the "E" key is nowhere near the "K" key.

The location of the keys isn't really an issue. The issue is that he must have been typing the word "fuck" so often that his muscle memory was more inclined to type "fuck" than "face" when presented with a four-letter word starting with 'f'.

That said, I don't believe for a minute that he mistyped anything at all. He's a lying liar and his wife should have felt justified in leaving him over that alone.

His complaint basically boils down to, "I am incapable of acting like a responsible adult and am going to blame anyone I can think of for why I'm not really at fault for the stupid shit I did."

The man is pathological. Fuckbook isn't a porn site. It's a hook-ups site - a dating service for people who just want to get laid. If he was surfing that while married, without his wife's knowledge and approval, he was trying to find someone to cheat with.

Sorry for the outrageously long post, but I felt that this had to be shared: Hol-ee crap this guy is utterly delusional.

For those not interested in wading through the entire 50-page document, I've gone to the trouble to summarize:

(TL : DR - Porn is dangerous and men are incapable of restraining themselves, so Apple needs to put filters on their devices to protect children, men, families, society and brick and mortar porn shops and the tax revenue they generate. Oh, and he's in a band, that he names in the complaint and is his email address, too, but he didn't make this a federal case to shill for that or anything...)

Introduction:

1) Apple is awesome but should think of the children and make all their devices set to safe mode by default and the require that buyers get a code directly from Apple to disable that feature.

2) Apple should totally do this to avoid a class action suit against them, 'cause they're totally at fault.

3) If they do this, he'll drop the suit.

4) They're in violation of a TN code for which it's clear that they are not in violation because they didn't knowingly allow a minor view porn.

5) Buyers shouldn't have to be responsible for their actions.

6) Porn is evil and illegal.

7) This isn't in violation of the First Amendment because we all know that porn is "harmful" and all of Apples female employees would support the decision because they're all "mothers, wives, and future spouses."
