  • And on the Russian "let's criminalise homosexuality" bandwagon...

Comes the new possible law of removing kids from gay families...

The kicker? This is the result of ONE study, that was proven to be inconclusive, that was conducted in 2012. The study in question only looked at lesbian families (since apparently homosexual males can't bring up a child) and found a "link" between their health and income and the outcome of the child.

On top of that, apparently living in a gay family is worse than living in an orphanage.

I cannot possibly see how living with a loving family is worse than living in one of the hell holes Russia calls orphanages.

This is about punishing gays, not protecting children. Putin is a pig.
Good news! Your insurance company says they'll cover you. Unfortunately, they also say it will be with dirt.

If it was the Regnerus study, not only has that study been thouroghly debunked and never peer reviewed, Regnerus himself has been shamed by his colleagues for producing it. Regnerus was hired by fungelicals, produced the study FOR fungelicals, and has himself admitted it is horribly flawed and basically not worth the paper it's written on.

The fungelicals, of course, trot it out as gospel, ignoring the REAMS of other studies done that HAVE been peer reviewed that show that kids need a committed, stable home, and do no worse (and in some cases, do slightly better) being raised by homosexual parents than they are by heterosexual parents.

Regnerus didn't compare apples to apples. His sole criteria was looking at broken families where they children reported that at least one parent had been SUSPECTED of having a homosexual encounter at any point in their life. Mind, the kids didn't need to have proof...they just needed to suspect that it might be the case. Out of all the families he studied, only TWO children were actually raised by openly homosexual parents.

So he started from an aspect of a broken home to begin with, then threw in only suspicions with no proof, and THEN compared these homes to heterosexual couples raising children in MARRIED AND STABLE ENVIRONMENTS. No divorced heteros, no single parents.

It's pure and utter garbage, and has been since the start.

And yet, it is the Regnerus study that is the basis of Russia's law.

Maybe all of our evangelical twits should move to Russia. Seems they'd find the atmosphere there more conducive to their world view.

Still a bit close for my taste... how about Venus... it is a very hot and punishing planet, perhaps considering their love of hellfire and damnation they can simply condemn members of their flocks who make the slightest of infractions to walk outside rather than having to wait until they die to go to hell.

Well, Brian Brown and Scott Lively...the two most motivating forces from the US stirring up the pot in Russia and Uganda, and the ones waving the Regnerus study in the faces of the authorities in these foreign locations, are likely getting their comeuppance.

Scott Lively has been sued by an equality group in Uganda and is being charged with crimes against humanity, for helping to shape their 'kill the gays' bill and working with the government to push it through. Brian Brown has now been reported to the State Department for his private meeting with Putin and may face up to three years in prison for 'collaborating with a foreign government against american interests.'

They know they are losing the equality fight in the US. They've been defeated, especially in the last couple of years, by huge swaths. Most people are now on to their lies and garbage and want nothing to do with them...so instead they have turned their sites on these other countries, playing into already existing homophobias to get their agendas forwarded. Honestly, I think the truth is they know their gravy train is grinding to a halt in the US, and so they've focused elsewhere to keep the hate-fueled money rolling into their pockets, all the while claiming they're martyrs for God.

            Sickening.
