School Fires Specialist for Ridiculous Reason

Tim Torkildson, the now former social media specialist for Nomen Global Language Centre, an English as a second language, was fired for blogging about homophones. That's correct; he was fired from his job because of a blog about homophones.

The owner, Clarke Woodger, told him, Now our school is going to be associated with homosexuality."

Wooger told the Salt Lake Tribune, "People at this level of English, may see the ‘homo’ side and think it has something to do with gay sex."

How can someone be that stupid and run a school? I have no words.

Well, it's Utah. Guess I should be glad it wasn't North Carolina. I could see that happening here as well, especially in our more rural counties.

I think niggardly was used by some columnist. For some reason, Buckley comes to mind.

So now instead of being recognized for being gay, they'll be recognized for being stupid. congratulations.....
