My main thought about this was this occurred before the TV show started, and it never crossed the Duggars' mind that this situation wouldn't at some point come up?

Absolutely, criminals often think they're smarter than everyone else. Their arrogance did them in.

I have good news. TLC has cancelled 19 Kids and Counting. It's about time.
Corey Taylor is correct. Man is a "four letter word."

Look who's back in the news. The website called Ashley Madison was hacked. This website advertises cheating on your spouse. The hackers released information that Josh Duggar was a client of this website. In other words, he was cheating on his wife.

He says gays are ruining the "sanctity of marriage."

This would be hilarious if it weren't so sad. Jeez. He has money, you'd think he'd be able to get plenty of women without having to take the risk of putting his name out there!

            Needs more than money...

If money were all he needed, he'd be on sugardaddy dot com or whatever it's called.

The Ashley Madison hack is probably going to be an unending source of entertainment for months as people comb through it finding noteworthy names. -.-

It's worth noting that apparently AM didn't actually use the email addresses they collected for verification purposes, so someone who could have hated you could have put your email in, and you'd potentially never even know.

I don't think that happened in this case, but it's something to be aware of.

I'd find it hard to believe they'd not at least use the emails to send promotional information for. In fact, any good dating website would at least notify their clientelle of incoming icebreakers or communications. I'd certainly find it strange if Ashley Madison suddenly sent me unsolicited emails notifying me of potential partners that busted my spam filter. They might not use a verification process, but they must use those emails for something.

I was reading an article on Roll Call, and 15k of the leaked email address were .gov addresses. Thats a lot of taxpayer funded addresses.

you mean that they didn't even bother signing up for a gmail account, rather than using their work email for signing up for a website advertising cheating on your spouse? I'm not sure what's worse- having someone who cheats on their spouse working for the taxpayer, or that they apparently can't be bothered to hide it.

I brought this up at work and one guy brought up a good point. Your spouse, if they suspected something, would probably check your personal email. They'd never check your work email.

I just don't get how the people who are so upset over the government hacking stuff can be so happy over the AM hack. Invasion of privacy is an invasion of privacy.

Well, looks like it's all okay now. Everyone can go home. He said he's sorry. Again.

The only thing any of the Duggars are sorry about is that Josh is a piece of flawed individual who has been exposed as a child molester and adulterer.

Cheezburger.com has a good picture that sums him up. Unfortunately, the picture is too big for Fratching.

Which "the people" are you referring too?

Also, people are likely happy about the AM hack because AM is morally bankrupt both from a business perspective ( See the reason the hackers struck in the first place ) and a personal one. Plus, its pretty hard to argue invasion of privacy when the thing you want kept private is something your spouse and/or family really has a right to know ( that being that you are an asshole ).

Its technically invasion of privacy but you're not going to get much sympathy for it in this case. Especially given that the revelation of adultery can lead to significant legal issues.

Yunno, I'm kinda starting to feel bad for the guy. Not because of what he did, mind you, but because his upbringing left him so screwed up.
