Yeah I've heard the religious types cry wolf about the "end times" more times than I can count. I don't think humanity and this world is nowhere near ready to check out. After all doesn't that one verse say something along the lines of it will come "at an hour you do not expect"? Well if it happens now some people will be all like "See!? I knew it! I knew it would come in my lifetime, I just knew it!!!" so yeah that's not exactly going to work.
