  • Jewish protesters hire Mexican laborers to protest

Because they can't see what they would see at a Pride Parade.

I...got nothing. I thought about putting this in with the the gay marriage thread but there's too much ridiculous here. Shared Daily Mail because article at NYTimes is a live feed. But the layers of stereotype and bigotry are...impressive.

Oh god. I just followed the link and saw how incredibly halfassed their outfits were. That's honestly hilarious.

Actually, the older members of the group were there protesting, as well.

They only hired the day laborers to stand in for the younger members who, they said, should not see what would go on during the parade.

I have no problem with religious leaders not wanting younger members of their congregation to see something they find objectionable.

I also have no problem with a group paying other people to hold protest signs.

I have a huge problem, however, in dressing the paid workers, who are not members of your religion, in your religious garments. If you have the power of your convictions, you don't need to disguise others as members of your group.

This is just so stupid on so many levels.
