Repetitive commercials

What's the deal with the commercials on 'net radio lately? I know they pay for the service, but hearing the same 3 (Esurance, Webx, Chrysler) every 5 minutes tends to get annoying. I don't know about the rest of you, but if someone's trying to ram their product/service down my throat...it just turns me *off* to said product/service.

If I understand right, the idea is to get that product stuck in your head so that you're more likely to grab that one. It's an idea that's not usually handled well but I believe that that is the reason behind it.

Oh, Shangri, I must disagree with you... those commercials are very effective played over and over again... they are annoying beyond belief, but trust me the next time you are looking at the product you'll think of them... I'll admit, I'm almost willing to pay the higher price for Grey Goose simply to find out if it truly is the worlds best tasting vodka because I've heard it ever 5 frakken minutes while watching Hulu at work.

Ah, but if the commercial irritates you so much that you vow to never buy their stuff, that's also going to stick in your head. Not saying it doesn't sometimes work. I'm just saying that some people do it wrong.

it isn't-save your money-I tried it once and retched for about 10 minutes-yes the french know wines but they do not know anything about vodka......I drink Pravda actually-it comes in a pretty bottle.....and it's been made for 265 years.......
