I hate to be "That Woman", but that comment is bordering on sexual harassment (depending on the seriousness of his request). If her boss wouldn't ask a man to wear high heels all day, then he has no right to ask that of a woman.

It is sexual harassment. He's also told her that she doesn't dress appropriately enough. She wears business casual. Like, who the hell looks under someone's desk to look at their shoes? He told my sister she needed to dress more like Condi Rice.

I like flip-flops a lot, and I have a few pairs of tennis shoes (or similar). But I can't wear ballet flats or other flat shoes. I have duck feet (wide toes) and I've yet to find a pair of ballet flats that are wide enough without being too long. Yes, I've tried wide sizes, too. And...flats just aren't a good look on me. I'm short and stumpy.

I never wear spike or stiletto heels or even any narrow heel; I wear chunkies and platforms. I can live in my platforms or New Rocks, and not feel the slightest discomfort.

By the way, I wear my boots with skirts and dresses, not trousers. XD

Driving is a very intensive, high concentration task. Some people just have a short length of time they can safely do such a task.

So their partner does most of the driving, and they only do the short 'end of journey' drive.

Wow I would tell any boss who said I needed to wear high heels to kiss off....I want to be comfortable and that's that. I have enough issues with my feet that I don't need to aggravate them.

As for the pants with heels thing what I see every single day are people wearing pants that go to the ground, they are more than covering the shoe and the leg so any visual effects it may have are wasted

I dunno I just never have given a crap about appearance/perception/what people think. If I think it looks dumb then I won't do it, but if it looks ok to me and is comfortable I will.
