Stupid Generalizations

Such as the "i'm not" generalizations.

"I'm not a racist!" That does not mean you are a racist.

"I'm not a drug addict!" That does not mean you are a drug addict.

things like that annoy me. Or like when people say "Anyone who says 'but' in the middle of a statement is really a child raping terrorist!"

So many dumb people in the world today.... I feel like I'm the only sane person left.

And yet, ironically, I feel myself identifying in a very strong way with the serial killer in the book i'm reading.

Just like with ghost hunting. Oh you believe in Orbs? Orbs, are basically dust particles. When digital camera's came out, that is when "orbs" started to become huge. And most of the time, it is dust as the picture was taken behind them or someone is walking ahead of them. True orbs are what you can actually see with your eyes, in real time.

Perfectly acceptable statement. Usually shot down by some liberal jerkoff trying to make himself feel important. Or "I'm not sexist, I just don't believe this job is right for a woman." (maybe the job requires you to be able to pee for a distance of at least 6 feet!)

Oh yes. I love perfectly nonracial statements where nobody would have assumed the speaker was racist if he hadn't brought it up. Another favorite of mine is "I'm not sexist, I just think children do better in a two-parent home." Um, what on earth does that have to do...oh, I get it, you are sexist.

Well the problem is that many, many, many people WILL call you a racist for such things. I've actually been called a racist for not liking rap music. Or with the sexist comment...that doesn't have to be a sexist comment. Maybe he's got religious reasons for why he feels that way.

I just hate people putting words in my mouth, ignoring what I've plainly said and substituting their own version so they can more easily attack it and feel better about themselves. Like "With all due respect sir, you're wrong."

"STOP BEING DISRESPECTFUL!"

"Ummm..yeah...check your battery...don't think your hearing aid is working."

Or "I'm not racist. I hired Frank because he actually speaks ENGLISH, not because he's white. If Jamal spoke english that good, I'd have hired him."

And then you get accused of being racist anyway. Race has absolutely nothing to do with someone's language abilities. Even though most moonbats will assume you racist since you didn't favor the other race to begin with...and then you say the forbidden line of....

"But some of my best friends are _______!"

Which AUTOMATICALLY means you are racist. That just seems stupid to me. It'd be like saying "Man, you must really hate chicken." "But I eat chicken every day!" "SEE!?!? YOU CLEARLY HATE CHICKEN!"

Usually "shoved in my face" in this context means, "I am being forced to acknowledge the mere existence of those different from me."

My dad said that once, and it was in response to a photograph in the newspaper showing a gay couple at an altar getting married. You know, the same thing we've seen thousands of times in photos featuring straight couples.

Personally, I'm sick of all this straight stuff being shoved in my face.

I've used that one before, although I didn't feel the need to preface it with "I'm not homophobic, but..." I don't preface my comments ever, if someone wants to make an uninformed decision of my views from one statement that's their problem.
