No, I'm not a cadbury, the opposite in fact, 10 standard drinks and I'm barely buzzed, especially when I'm doing the no no and wanting to just get drunk, I was hoping my alcohol tolerance had gone down more than this.

My alcohol tolerance is incredibly high, due to me being a large framed woman who's also tall. It takes me at least ten drinks before I'm pissed, and more than that to be paraletic. Hence my habit of downing shots so that I can catch up with friends. -.-"Oh wow, I can't believe how stupid I used to be and you still are."

I'm not a drinking "noob", either. I'm a regular drinker. I have a glass of wine with dinner every day, and then often another an hour or two later if I'm watching TV. But I can't have more than that, and I have to pace myself, because I don't like to be drunk.
I threw a party this past weekend and really cut loose. I had 3 drinks and was absolutely sloshed.

I will admit I am a lite-weight, but the plus side is I sober up fast. I will get a buzz off of one glass of wine. If I have two I will be classified as drunk."Human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe" -H. G. Wells

Norton, there's a whole host of factors that can affect drinking and how fast you sober up. I can't say, I'm not a noobie per se, I just don't get absolutely plastered. Most I've had has been around nearly 3 standard drinks and I was more sleepy than anything. (My friends found it rather funny that I fell asleep after 2 drinks the first time I had anything)
But I generally alternate one alcoholic drink, one non-alcoholic drink, and I usually have food before and after I drink...

A category all of your own.
To get falling down or puking drunk (which has only ever happened once) I would go through something like 30+ standard drinks in a night, at least when I was drinking regularly, you know those big jug type bottles of Captain Morgan (Mmm, nummy nums) I have been known to drink a full one of them in a nights bender.
Of course now that I'm back in Australia alcohol is just too damn expensive to do that.I am a sexy shoeless god of war!
Minus the sexy and I'm wearing shoes.

My preferred drink is whiskey, and I rarely get hangovers from it. I've tried clear liquors, but never really come across any I liked. I don't care for vodka, gin is ICKY, white rum is okay, I guess.
People look at me funny because I always drink mixed drinks, usually a dark cola and whiskey or a whiskey sour...occasionally a margarita. I don't like beer and wine makes me sleepy, so...yeah. I usually order single, tall, so that I don't get sloshed before dinner's over, though.
