I played Fable once and in the game once you've grown up you find out there's some treasure buried in your old town that you can dig up. When you play through the game again knowing the treasures there you can go dig it up as a child. Not because you're given the knowledge but because the treasure is literally always there in the game until you've dug it up.
I mention this to point out something annoying me in Uncharted. When I come to a doorway and especially if it leads to a large open area I peek out to see if there are any enemies I need to worry about. Seeing none I move into the room and move quickly towards cover in case any show up. The problem is that suddenly there are enemies that didn't move into position but were just suddenly there where they hadn't been before. It's frustrating.
I get there are programming limitations but it's frustrating being shot at by an enemy who appeared out of nowhere.
