Wow, aren't I just the whiner these days....

I hate when you let someone stay at your place, and they do nothing but (either one or all of these): whine about the accomodations, make a mess, or mess with your stuff.

My boyfriend's friend spent the night at my place Saturday night. He had stayed here before earlier in March, but he had a gf with him at the time, and he was totally different back then. This time I feel he was completely unappreciative of a place to stay and generally just pissed me off.

My bf's parents wouldn't let him stay at their place. So I let him stay here versus sleeping in his car. You would think he would be grateful and take a place to stay without bitching.

    Of course not.

He had to bitch that I don't have air conditioning.....well, I didn't have my unit installed yet (my dad was going to install it on Sunday).

Look buddy...I have been living here for 2 years so far without air conditioning. Does it suck? Sure it does! That's why I finally got a unit, duh. But how did I manage before I could afford one? Let's see....box fans, ceiling fans, opening my windows....yes, I know it was a scorcher this weekend. And trust me, I hate humidity and a sweltering place as much as anyone else. But hey, would you rather sleep in your car?

He did nothing but bitch and whine the entire evening about how hot it was. He even begged me to drag out my A/C unit, get a pile of towels, and just turn it in and let it blow around the apartment. Ok....and waste a pile of towels when the water leaked out of it. Speaking of towels.....he and my bf brought their OWN towels for the next day going tubing down the river. But no...he couldn't use his OWN towel to shower at my place or if he wanted A/C that badly....we had to use MINE. I don't have many towels. I have enough for MYSELF...so that I don't end up having to do a load of towels every single week.

On top of that....every 5 seconds he had to ask for something. "Do you have a nail clipper?" "Do you have this?" "Do you have that?"....look, I wouldn't mind if he wanted ice or water or soda....but every fucking five minutes he had some kind of favor to ask.

Then he remembered that he forgot a lanyard or something to hang his keys on for when they went tubing the next day. So he sees my lanyard from my bikini contest that I have proudly hanging in my apartment, and asks if he can HAVE it for tomorrow.

Why sure, buddy.....I just leave all the stuff in my apartment that I DON'T want just laying around for people to have! Idiot...the stuff I don't want is crammed in my spare room. Who just asks people if they can have random things they see in other people's houses?

Then we went out for the night....when we got back....he was still throwing a fit about the heat (it was nearly 2 am and not nearly as hot as it had been earlier that day!) and he was checking ALL of my windows to make sure they were open and he was looking around my apartment for another fan, even though I assured him that ALL of the fans he saw were the only ones I had! Then he started messing with my window shades.......that's another pet peeve. I work night shifts....those shades stay DOWN at all times unless I move them. You don't need the shades open at 2 am for Christ sake.

I swear, you give someone an inch, they want a mile.

I've never had that happen to me, but you can bet if I did, those accomodations would get even suckier before the night was out.

When someone else won't let someone stay at their place, there is probably a good reason for it. Food for thought.

Well, he could have offered to install the AC unit, too bad he sucks.

I love the irony that the AC unit is now installed, long after the idiot houseguest is gone.

He wouldn't have been able to install the unit, because I haven't any tools here other than a hammer and a screw driver.

I get your drift Kinkoid. It's just so sad that he changed his ways and this time around he was just such a pig and a dick.

That wasn't all, either. I didn't want everyone to think it was a total whine fest, but there's more. You might not think this would bother me, but it does, even though I smoke.

He'd go out to smoke and leave the damn door open the whole time. Uh, hello, born in a barn were you? Come on now....shut the fucking door, there's smoke pouring into my apartment! I smoke outside to NOT make my apartment wreak, dammit. Oh not only that....did I not remind you several times that I live by a park, as if you couldn't already see all the flying creatures and other bugs?! My gosh, I thought I smoked a lot.....every freaking 15 minutes it seemed....door wide open....I'd yell to shut it.......ugh!!!! (no screen door, just one door here).

By late Saturday night, there were tons of mosquitos, moths, flies and any other bug you can think of in my apartment. I had to chase this beetle looking thing around my bedroom with my hair brush trying to kill it, while I repeatedly had to run around smacking mosquitos and trying to kill them and catch the moths and send them back outside.

I think I finally got rid of all the bugs.

Oohhhhh Blassy, you so reminded me of the last time I had ppl at my place.

They had come from interstate, and stayed at my place for 5 weeks. They've thoroughly convinced me to never let people stay over again!

            Open doors while smoking.. yep!

Leaving crap over the place - yep!

            Moving/taking your stuff - yep!

Add: not turning off the f***ing stove/oven/grill after finishing using it - YEP!!!

Leaving my kitching in a complete F***ING mess... for DAYS after..(remember, I work graveyard shifts, so in and out, most of the time..) - Oh hell yes!!!!!
ZOE: Preacher, don't the Bible got some pretty specific things to say about killing?

SHEPHERD BOOK: Quite specific. It is, however, Somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

Wow, and you tolerated that for 5 weeks?! I would have killed them!

I thought one measly night was bad!

Ah, well, you see Blas, over here there are laws against it!

And I'm not really strong enough to carry 2 bodies... and I don't have a shovel, so I'd have to dump them in the bay... and the bay I'm near is waist deep 100 meters out... (so, yes, I thought about it...)

Meh, it happened a couple of times, I let them know I wasn't impressed (and you should have seen the look I got!!!)

The trying to burn the house down became a bit of a joke..."Seeebbbbb, " .. "Yes, I'm still using it"... yeah.. sure!

Ah, le sigh... I'm too patient for my own good

I didn't want to disappoint my boyfriend and go on an angry rampage screaming at the fool to shut up or get the fuck out.

Needless to say, though, after his friend left, I did tell my boyfriend that his friend was no longer welcome over here until he learned some manners and respect for other people's houses.

I didn't think my bf overheard his friend asking to keep my lanyard. But when I brought it up, he said "He asked you if he could HAVE that? What?!"

At least he didn't go defending his friend and the actions. He was a little pissed himself with how disrespectful and whiney his friend acted.
