I would say minor issue for us, but hopefully a major one for his wife.
I really dislike those political spouses that act as if such deception is par for the course when dealing with "powerful" people.

Well yeah, but it's generally bad form to cheat on a wife that you've been trotting out for a few election cycles that currently has cancer. That was pretty low.
Granted, she was doing magazine interviews and books and crap about it, so I don't know how much I'm respecting her these days either.

Anyways, back to the topic, I do very much agree with you, RK. He's not my governor, mine is kind of a pansy. But the cheating part is between him and his wife. Him disappearing on the job without letting anyone know where he was going is criminally stupid. Hardly a trait I'd want the Executive of my state to have.

Cheating on a cancer spouse didn't stop former Mayor Guliani from staying popular.

Best line from my band practice last Friday:

Aysha: Are there ANY ugly people in Argentina?
Vincent (without missing a beat): There was one for about a week.

          (insert rimshot)

He didn't win the presidency either. He also didn't use her and her cancer to help campaign for him to my knowledge.

From what I heard on CNN they're pulling up Mark Sandford's travelling records and apparently this wasn't the first time he went to Argentina to see his mistress and a lot of the GOP politicians in SC are calling for his resignation. Of all the politicians that cheated on their wives, Jenny Sanford is the only one that isn't standing by him, she sounds like she wants to divorce his ass. I bet that if it wasn't for the cancer, Elizabeth Edwards would divorce John Edwards, but I guess the only way she could pay him back for his misdeeds was to humiliate the dog shit out of him on Oprah and on her book.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people...

Yeah, it's so good to know our damn tax dollars are being put to good use.

                Fucker.

I understand the Republicans are calling for him to resign. Man. When your own party is screaming for your head, you know it's bad.
