(NSFW) I Hate Cheap Plastic

I'm an assigned male at birth (AMB) gender fluid person. I recently decided to participate in an event called Locktober. I would lock myself in a chastity device until after Halloween.

I was doing a trial run leading up to next month when the hard plastic device slipped off. Apparently, that's quite common. However, when I inspected the device closer after it slipped off, I found the shaft part had split open at the seam. If I had tried to reattach it, it would have, pinched my penis, split apart and fallen off again, or both.

I will be buying a new chastity device before October 1.

When I read the title, I thought you were talking about cheap plastic kitchenware (yes, even in spite of the NSFW warning).

Hope you can find something of better quality. That is NOT an area of your body you want cheap anything near.

Cheap plastic in kitchenware can be dangerous as well. Thankfully, I have bought a silicone device that already feels more robust.
