  • You have an anger problem!

"You have a really serious anger problem."

    "ummm..what? Really?"

"Yeah, you are filled with rage."

    "Ummm...I'm pretty sure I don't. Thanks though."

"Nope. You're totally seething and boiling over. Definite anger problem."

"I really think you're wrong. I have no anger problem."

"Yes, yes you do. I can see it. You're infected with rage!!!!"

    "Umm...nah...I really don't think so. Everything's cool."

"Nope, nope, not at all. You are almost insane with your blind rage and hatred!"

"I don't think so. I appreciate your concern, but this conversation is over now."

"You are filled with rage and anger and hate! You definitely need psychological help for your anger problem."

    "I DON'T HAVE A FUCKING ANGER PROBLEM!"

    "See? Told you so."

    Or, as a variation,

    "Are you pissed at me?"

    "What? No.."

"Because I don't think it's fair that you're pissed at me?"

    "I'm NOT pissed at you!"

"Don't yell at me! Why are you so angry?"

      "what's the matter?"

      "huh? matter with what...?"

      "just tell me"

      "um, there's no problem"

my grandmother (rip) used to impose emotions on me a lot. she'd ask me why i was mad with her or with god, then get me books on the topic. frustrating as i was never mad at god, and only mad at her because she wouldn't let up

I have anger issues. They've calmed down quite a bit, but it still pops up now and then. I really just get angry when dealing with family issues, but my own financial screw ups make me pissed off at myself as well. I've talked to a counselor about it a few times, so I have a good plan of action.

Conversation I had with my parents and sister at dinner tonight.

"Do you know the guy that will be in Kentucky with you for work?"
          "No, just his name."
          "Is he an intern too?"
          "I don't know, I haven't met him."
          "Is he young?"
          "I don't know, I haven't met him."
          "What is he like?"
"I have no idea, I still haven't met him."

          A few minutes later.

"I don't like how you act like we are stupid."

Are you serious? How could I not?

I don't like how you act like you are stupid! But, if that's the way you want to be, sure - I'll go along with it.
ZOE: Preacher, don't the Bible got some pretty specific things to say about killing?

SHEPHERD BOOK: Quite specific. It is, however, Somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

I've always been bad at recognizing facial expressions, especially those on my mom. When she relaxes she looks angry. It made growing up a bit odd.
