It's a phase. Around that age, kids will question EVERYTHING. I dealt with it with my sister and I am pretty sure I questioned everything at that age too.

Even though those are silly little questions like that, it's the fact that the child is learning about his/her environment. In your case, body functions because that's a curiosity too. Since you are the child's parent, it seems to them that you have all the answers.

Your child will grow out of it. In the meantime, it seems that you trying to push him out of the way is causing him to question more.

Why are you pooping? Well, it's natural.

Why are you washing your hands? To kill all the icky stuff.

Where are you going? Into the living room. (They are still in that attachment phase.)

This is all from experience as a sibling parent (a sibling who takes an active role in raising another sibling) for 14 years.

... I just think it's a silly thing to complain about when surely almost everyone knows that kids are curious and ask questions about everything. It's like complaining that your kid won't quit pooping.
I think it's legitimate to complain a bit on this forum. I think you use it to sound off. Besides, like I said before, no one is really prepared for the nightmare that are children.
Unlike you, I like the idea of an attentive permanent audience for my tendency to lecture. I won't ever kids either though.

You want to lecture? That might come in handy if your kids are throwing a fuss about going to bed....

When I was a kid my, while living with my uncle, he told me that my mom had told him my bedtime.
I literally debated for over 2 and a half hours. He then told me that he never said that he was going to enforce it. I couldn't take a win for an answer, so I argued some more on why I shouldn't have a bedtime at all... until I nearly lost my voice.
He just wanted to see how long I would argue.

Shit, ya'll. Try having a teenage boy in the house and trying to have any SEMBLANCE of a social life.

            It's like playing 20 questions....

I actually MISS the 'why' phase by comparison. lol

*sigh* Teenage boys and their divorced moms.

That would pretty much apply to any sort of complaint. Tires will always go flat, presidents will make dumb decisions and sometimes customers just plain suck.

To him, it's not rude or nosy, he's trying to figure out why the man he is trying emulate does what he does.
