One of my teachers, whom I have considered a friend, has become a huge douchebag in the past year. I know he has always been tough on people, but he's much harder on me than on anyone else and I'm fed up with it.
I had been doing research with him and one of my friends. This year I decided I was only going to do it if I get credits for it. He said that because of my GPA, he wouldn't let me do it. I have a 2.6. That's a B-. So sorry I don't get straight A's in my advanced chem classes or biology classes or math classes. I informed him my opinion of lectures (most are a load of crap and not worth much) and that in my labs, which are the only justifiable way to guess at our abilities, I did well in every single one. I work well with my hands and he himself said I know more about how to do the research than him.
I took a 400 level class with him that I didn't need. I had trouble with it as the entire thing is just remembering names and definitions and I am not the best at that. I studied my ass off but he'd always throw something random in his tests I had no way of knowing. He gave us 400 page book to read with only a few weeks left of the class and despite every one of us protesting it, tested us on it anyway. Almost every single person failed and the rest BARELY passed.
I just posted on facebook for my status that I "don't like it when higher ups sneak up on me." He messaged me to tell me that I shouldn't be posting about anything work related on facebook (I have my privacy filters on so if you aren't my friend, you can't view my profile at all). He then said if I ever post anything about my internship, he'd pull me straight from the forensics program. I said I didn't like my bosses sneaking up on me when I'm working, not that I hate my job (I don't), that my bosses suck (which they don't), anything about what I'm actually doing at my job, etc. He also said if he was my boss and he wanted to filter out employees, that'd be a good reason to do it. Gee, I thought if they wanted to filter out employees, they should just fire all the ones who sit around all day doing nothing. At least I do work during the day...
