  • Just take your money and save me the attitude

So I fell behind on the car payment. It's not it was 3 years defaulted or something. Couple of weeks. MAYBE 4. Maybe. I just paid 2 today, and the douchebag was giving me all kinds of attitude.

I could tolerate the attitude if, say, I was 6 months behind, and still not paying. But I call the guy and he's all hostile and just like "Yeah, well when am I getting the rest of it" in hostile, sarcastic, and generally demeaning tones. Well fuck's sake, clearly I'm calling of my own free will, with not just one but two payments! There's a such thing as politeness and common courtesy.

I suppose I'd probably get arrested if I told him I'd set the car on fire if he was rude to me like that again. Stupid country. lol...j/k.

Meh, he's probably gotten to the point where's had to be like that to make people pay in order to keep his job. Or he's had several calls that were people where he had to force a payment out of and he just kind of went on auto-pilot.

I do agree that he shouldn't have had that tone with you.
Crooked banks around the world would gladly give a loan today so if you ever miss a payment they can take your home away.

Now that I'm a little calmer though I almost feel bad for the guy. While I'm pretty cordial and easy to deal with on things like that (mostly) I'm sure others aren't. I know from my customer service days sometimes its hard to turn off that "tough guy" mode. He probably goes home and drinks all evening just to deal with it.
