  • Getting screwed over by the system

You know, I get sick of paying into a system that simply doesn't give anything back when I need it. Can't go on welfare or unemployment because I'm in school, even my commonlaw spouse can't get any sort of disability, even though he is legitimatly too sick to work, unlike some other people who can get it because of some stupid reason. Maybe we should just check yes on the box marked "are you of aboriginal or metis descent?" even though we aren't. Seems to be the only way to get anything out of the government.

I'm sorry that I want to go to school to better myself, I didn't realize that there was something wrong with that. You want me to drop out and find a full time job that pays minimum wage just so we can have some hope of getting any welfare money out of the system, essentially defeating the entire purpose we're still here. Great, got that system working like a well oiled machine don't ya?

On a slightly better note, student loans are being less douchy. They made it so that if you own a car it can be worth up to $15000 instead of the $5000, which is you know actually reasonable. Though, our car is worth $4000 more than that, so they figure I can get $4000 out of the car, which is something we're still paying for...*sigh* They certainly don't make it easy to go to school now do they? (well they do for certain groups of people...but I won't get into that, I'm sure if you live in BC you know)

I know that all to well. I am on unemployment, I want to take automotive classes, so that be my business. But, if go to school. Then I might get to stay on unemployment. Its bullshit.
