Right only I know how hard I try and how difficult my problems are.
Human compassion should be about trying to avoid hurtful comments and considering a little "putting oneself in the others shoes" for a moment.
There is a lot of over-indulging in modern cultures, but the solution is not to drop all attempts at sympathy.

DrFaroohk, you're exactly right. Disablities aren't only of the body.
The key to an open mind is understanding everything you know is wrong.

If another part of my body wasn't working right, such as my legs, people would be all over it. "Awww you poor baby!" No one would say "Oh just get over it, you can walk!" And it's the same with depression. My brain, and the brain of many like me, isn't working properly. It's over or under producing particular chemicals that stabilize moods. You can't just "Get over it". If you can, you don't really have depression issues.

And we've understood. What you don't understand is it's still not an excuse for the world to bend to your whims.
Any comment I make should not be taken as an absolute, unless I say it should be. Even this one.
