Eh, every bride I've ever talked to (including my sister) said they were so tired on the wedding night, they just popped out a quickie to say they did it and went to sleep. When and if I get married, I certainly hope that sex is the last thing on my mind.

I'd like to have some kind of cocktail available for my friends, but my Dad is an alcoholic and some of my friends are serious boozers, so...probably nothing but a little champagne. Many of the weddings I've been to have been in Baptist fellowship halls, so there wasn't any booze or dancing. But everyone still seemed to have a good time.

(I'm certainly not a teetotaler, but I'm also firmly in the "you don't need to drink to have a good time" camp. If not having booze at my wedding means a cheaper, low-stress reception, then so be it.)

WORD to this.

I was 6 months pregnant when I got married. I had two glasses of wine (back in 1989 it wasn't *nearly* as frowned upon - in moderation), and promptly passed out. My now ex-husband used to find it amusing to tell people that he was the only dude in history who didn't 'get any' on his wedding night. Which, as we all know, is totally untrue....but he acted like the world was ending.

Um...really? I'd think that people would want to be sexually attracted to their partners.

And I don't understand why people say that wedding night sex isn't good. That has.....not been my experience.

Even though I won't be a virgin bride (and should probably wear a red dress instead of white) even I would look forward to that the most that night.

Speaking of responsibility, I was at another school's homecoming yesterday with a friend. The friends we were visiting wanted us to stay and drink with them, but we couldn't stay there, meaning we'd have to drive back home 45 minutes away drunk. Yea, right...
