I learned to hate my curly hair because of my mother. If I had a curly haired moppet, I'd know exactly what not to do.

Believe you me. It's hard growing up in a family where you're the only curly haired person. Mother didn't know what to do with my hair. (My hair skipped a generation or so). It was hard.

It wasn't until I got pregnant that I actually started to like my hair. But now I keep it short. (For expediancy's sake).

If I had the bucks, I'd be getting Child Rum a doll from My Twinn. But that might be a while.

I myself have curly hair. I grew it long and it would come down to mid back when I was in the shower but then curl up into ringlets ala shirley temple and I am a guy.

I cut it cuz it freaked my daughter out but my daughter got my curly hair and I freaking love it.

IDR~ Have you looked @ the Just Like You dolls from American Girl? Theyre much more expensive, but you can pretty much pick what you want it to look like.

Oh those American Girl dolls are adorable. Expensive. But adorable. You can even pick out matching outfits for your daughter and her doll.

Back when I did portraits, I remember a parent did that for their young girls' Christmas photos. Very cute.

Always a toss up on what I give her. Last "awesomest toy ever" I gave my daughter was a remote control car. I was a freaking hero to her. God I live for that.

I regret not buying that Mr. Clean doll.

My mom has a black/brown-haired Barbie in the parents room; I can't recall if she was called "Barbie" or had another name, but God damn does she have a lot of hair. Like, she used up all the hairspray in the 80's kind of hair. Which, come to think of it, may have subsconsciously influenced the design of one of the characters I draw... <____<
