I just have certain food preference and know what I like.

I fail to see how that makes me close minded.
In my case, I feel it's more being a creature of habit.

    How is that a "fault"?
It's a self-imposed limitation. In my favorite game system that would be a disadvantage. I don't see why it wouldn't be one in real life as well.

Choosing to not eat what you don't know you will dislike is closing yourself off to potential good things. That's close minded.
Obviously not on par with the big close minded things we normally think of, but close minded none the less.

I'm thinking one reason is that life ain't a game system, and not everything in life can be compared to how the games are played.

Personal taste plays a big role in trying new foods, and it has nothing to do with self limitation.

There are just some things you know you don't want to try because you know you won't like them.
        Point to Ponder:

Is it considered irony when someone on an internet forum makes a post that can be considered to look like it was written by a 3rd grade dropout, and they are poking fun of the fact that another person couldn't spell?

I never even made that connection.

Don't miss the reason I used that definition of limitation.
Personal taste has nothing to do with trying new things when you don' t know if you would not like it. It's close minded to avoid what could be good for the off chance you wouldn't like it.
No one is saying that you must try things you know you won't like. That's a distraction to what I consider the real topic.
