  • "I need a ride!"

So this person we barely know just shows up at the house. We see a car pull in, drop this girl off, and then just take off. Girl comes in for a bit, hangs out, then drops the bombshell on us - "I need a ride home".

Ok, we're not running a fucking taxi service here. She didn't even wait to see if we could before telling her friend to leave. So obviously she's stuck with us now, and unless we want to put up with her for hours on end until she finds a ride (doubtful) we are stuck transporting her home ourselves.

Even worse, the friend she was with was heading in her general direction anyway! It's like 40 miles out of our way to take her home, but it was like 5 out of her friends way. BULLCRAP!!!!!!!!!!

    Your life fascinates me.

Things happen to you on a regular basis that, if they occurred to me, would be incredibly bizarre.

You get annoyed, but mostly just take them in stride.

I know. It's rather odd sometimes. I'm like a crap magnet. If I was posting here several years ago you'd get to hear all about my psycho old later stalker! That was an ordeal. So was the schizophrenic neighbor who painted pictures of suicide poses on his wall and yelled at them throughout the night. He was especially fun.

Simple solution; just say, "We are not a taxi service. I guess you'll have to walk home or call a cab". Then shove her out the door.
"Oh wow, I can't believe how stupid I used to be and you still are."

            Tuck and roll!

My line "We aren't the local taxi company, but we can give you their number."
