I forgot to mention that all chain pizzas (Papa Johns, Dominos, Pizza Hut) are really crappy compared to decent local pizza places. The only thing I like about them is that no matter where you go, they are of the exact same quality. So when I leave the New Jersey/New York area and enter the realm of crap pizza, I can rely on these major chains to provide me with something mediocre, but at least it's edible.

Actually the one that closed was a chain just not as big as the other guys. It was awesome just was bad timing when they opened a location here.

There is a local chain here that specializes in wheat crust pizza (oh, Kansas). It's good pizza, but expensive, and tends to be really flour-y. I shouldn't have to wipe off pizza before eating it.

My best friend and me hit up the local Papa Murphy's once a month. They dread when he walks in the door cuz he has so many special instructions they sometimes have to write them down by hand cuz they run out of room on the program.

That's because whole wheat and whole grain doughs are way stickier than white dough. They'd have to roll it in a ton of flour just to work it into a pizza shape.
