I get what ladyneeva is saying. And i agree. People need to lighten up. Oh wow, someone told you a joke that you heard before. no need to want to kill the next person who says it.

You're not getting what I'm saying tho; did you not see that the title of this section is "Things You Hate"? I'm merely posting that I hate people telling old jokes. I have every right to hate it, just as you have the right to hate whatever irritates you. That is what's annoying me; not the fact that you and she don't agree with me, but that you feel that I don't have that right and instead make little snippy comments about lightening up. Sorry that I'm human and not perfect like you."Oh wow, I can't believe how stupid I used to be and you still are."

I wasn't being serious. Seeing as you didn't read my post, I will say it again.
WHEN SOMEONE MAKES A JOKE, I SMILE AND ACT LIKE I'M NOT ANNOYED.
However, last time I checked, this forum was where you could rant about stuff. I keep that kind of stuff off CS.com cuz it's against the rules. If you are so sensitive that this kind of thing upsets you, then I wonder what you're doing working in retail at all."Oh wow, I can't believe how stupid I used to be and you still are."

Yeah, but that's a whole other thread we could start, Lace.
Ranting is not always allowed....someone or some people always have to step in and play devil's advocate or the What If police.
I used to HATE "Tee hee it must be free!" or "Working hard, or hardly working, haw haw haw!" or even better....."Now you have something to do!"
The one that really made me see red was when customers would see me smoking outside as they pulled up, and would yell at me to get back to work (don't forget a laugh in there!) or come up hysterically laughing "HAHAHAHA I ruined your smoke break!"

I used to get that at the garden centre; if it was nice, I'd sit outside and eat my lunch. I'd then sometimes get customers coming up to me and saying with a smirk, "I need to be served in Pets now. Haha, I ruined your lunch break!"
I'd just reply, politely and levelly, "No, you haven't. I'm off the clock and unpaid, so this is my own time. I'll be back in Pets at 1:30, see you then!" Nothing they could do at all; this was one thing that management always backed. They'd end up having to grump back into the shop and exercise a bit of patience; ie, wait til I came off my break.
Also, politeness = weapon of mass destruction. XD Being polite and level means that they'd love to complain, but they can't... cuz you were being polite rather than rude."Oh wow, I can't believe how stupid I used to be and you still are."
