I'll have to agree with Wingates.
There are certain social phenomenon that help you figure out things, but those are only guidelines - not always applicable.
Rules of the Universe - should be able to be errrrm, universally applied, like Gravity.

I actually like Sean Bean, Eric Bana, and even Brad Pitt has grown on me recently, as an actor. But not even all these guys plus Pitt's naked form could save this movie. Kingdom of Heaven, to me, was just pointless. You know a movie is in trouble if the lead character could have his head sliced off an hour + in and you wouldn't care.

What can I say? The kid is easy to please, entertainment wise. He's addicted to Smallville, Vampire Diaries, pretty much anything on the CW, that kind of fare. And heaven help me, the Twilight movies. He gets frustrated with me because he'll insist on his life that something is 'really good!' and yet I still won't watch it. I get equally frustrated having mediocre stuff shoved on me all the time.

"But whyyyyy won't you watch Half Blood Prince/Wolverine/whatever else again? You haven't seen it since theaters! It has your Alan Rickman/Dom Monaghan/whomever else you fancy in it!"

No. No I will not endure hours of a movie I hated just because someone I adore is in it. 5 minutes of Dom in Wolverine and precious more than that of Rickman in the HP films is can not make me want to endure them again, let alone proclaim an undying love for them.

On Titanic, I only recently saw it, but I did love it for the disaster/historical factor. The love story wasn't so annoying as to overshadow the whole thing, but I wasn't bothered with it one way or the other.

On nephew, this kid is living proof that gender stereotypes can't be applied to movies. He often asks to borrow my Sense & Sensibility DVD. He watches chick flicks with my Mom. He even watches Desperate Housewives, LOL. And we are both looking forward to Wolfman opening next week. Go figure, right?

Arrgh, he's pulling the other card now. When I say I didn't like something, he gets the same superior, shit-eating look on his face and exclaims that I just must not understand it, or am not intelligent enough to like it.

I love all types of movies. I love action and horror. I love comedy and love stories. Hell, I even enjoy kids movies. If it is a good movie, then I like it or atleast watch it
