I did say it was a poor way to deal with it.

That's until they get off school property. What's to stop the victim from, oh, getting a bat and getting some street justice? Seriously, bullies *will* get their just desserts, sooner or later. They'll eventually piss off the wrong person, who won't take kindly to their antics. Also, karma really is a bitch...

In fact, the guy who used to pick on me in high school...had that happen multiple times. First time, was because one of the football players (whose sister was in my class--I'd been friends with them for years) found out about it. He basically had a "see the light" meeting with the asshole. From then on, never had a problem with the guy. The next time, he wasn't as lucky--he thought it would be funny to call someone the N-word. Seems that someone else heard it, and the two of them beat the shit out of him.

Then there was the twit who would follow me while I delivered newspapers. I was usually on foot, he was on a bike. He'd follow me around, calling me various names, and just being a pest. But, one day, as I was riding the wagon (a '79 Radio-Flyer...much faster than walking) down a hill...I got even. That is, I waited until he was close...and then pulled the handbrake Let's just say that he got fucked-up while trying to avoid a collision. Road rash, anyone? Cruel, but it's not like he wasn't warned--even my customers told him to leave me alone...
