why do people hate differences

I go to 4chan a lot not the best site in the world but when your bored they have interesting pictures. But there they have some of the most idiotic people i have ever seen. They are some of the biggest fury haters i've ever encountered and no one can really tell me why. I'd like to know why people hate furries as much as they do and why people get pissed when you look or act a little differerent. I mean i wear a beanie with horns on it and inbetween the horns its says sinister (and before anyone asks no i don't know how to get another one but if anyone finds it please let me know i want a few more). I also wear a trench coat with it i expect funny looks and am not all that worried about it. But it still comes down to why people dislike things that are a bit abnormal (now in my case i have yet to hear anyone say anything bad about my hat every one i've talked to wants one lol but also in my case it might have something to do with i'm a pretty big guy and people generally don't mess with me too much). So i'm still wondering any reasons?

1. Furries make a big fuss when they get made fun of. Many people are neutral towards furries but make jokes for the lawls.

2. Furries are very in your face about their fetish and it gets annoying. You get off on an unusual porn and where a costume on the rare times you have sex, that doesn't mean you should have a convention.

3. Furries have made it so you can't search do a Google image search for a cartoon and not get born. Stop trying to destroy my childhood.

That said, I can't do a google search for anything without getting porn, most often unrelated porn. (Terminator porn, duke nukem porn, anime porn, the list goes on) Most everything that need be read on the issue is in the above posted link.

Though I think there's something to be said of the fact that the flaws of the furry fandom are treated as if they're not something that occurs within more or less every group that has ever existed. The internet just makes it easier to find.

As far as the OP goes, hanging out at 4chan and complaining about all the idiots is like hanging out at a pool and complaining about all the swimmers. Idiocy is what they do there.

4chan is hilarious. XD As for laughing at furries; well, some furries really need to learn to laugh at themselves once in a while instead of getting all self righteous and whiny.

My main reason for laughing at furries is a) most of these people have either cat, fox or wolf fursonas, which makes me laugh cuz it's like they're just picking the "cool" animals rather than the one that suits them best and b) most of these people just take themselves so seriously that it actually encourages people to make fun of them.

Before you get all indignant and start slinging insults my way, let me tell you something; I have an animal other, too. Mine's a hyena. I also, like a lot of others, started off in the Sonic fandom, and believe me, that really teaches you how to deal with nutters. XD

To anyone who still wishes to keep their childhood innocence... I would advise you to avoid the Sonic fandom, particularly the fanfic, like the plague. We're talking hard core porn here, between anthros. O_o

Well of course people are going to try to make their fringe group look better then it is. Even so he still estimated the 60% of the group fit the stereotype. Given that he wants to point furries in the best light I'm going to guess its more like 80%

That actually fits into my own estimations that roughly 20% or less of furries actually identify with an animal and the vast majority are simply people who are extremely pathetic and need a fantasy outlet for their lives and simply chose being a furry because it was convenient and would give them an excuse to get riled up on the internet.

It's not just furries... it's anyone who doesn't go to the same church, have the same skin color, sleep with the same people in the same way.
People just inherently suck... I can't explain why people justify it with furries... I know with my case they use a 2000 year old piece of fiction to justify it, maybe there is a line in that work somewhere that mentions furries too

You know, this is actually kinda funny. 'Cuz it walks right into my arguement like a freakin brick wall. You can just fill in the blanks with anything.

20% or less of trekkies apreciate the series and the rest are just pathetic people that need a fantasy outlet. 20% of sci fi fans enjoy the literature and the rest are just pathetic people who need a fantasy outlet. See what I'm saying?

I would say it's probably more like 20% lifestylers, 40% 'typical' (meaning, asocial nerds), 30% casual and 10% baaad examples (fursuit sex, bitchy on the net, that sort of thing.

Still, It's kinda interesting how this turns out. I'm a human freakin being like most anyone else, with a range of interests and several hobbies. One of them happens to be furry art/writing. Sure there are those who are all-consumed with being furry, but that's true of gamers, anime fans, sports fans, you name it. The reality of the modern world is that what you see float to the surface is the vocal minority to a silent majority, assuming anything else without actually doing some research is beyond ignorant.

Oh you better believe i'll start slinging insults after i'm done laughing. No i could care less i'm just getting anoyed with people and i keep finding it harder and harder to look at any one as "smart" no offence to anyone. But i just have to keep dealing with idiots to be fair some is my choice such as going on 4chan but still lol. No i respect most people's opions and yours is no different. Either way though i have in the short time being on here come to see most people on here are intelegent so meh it works lol. Oh and i like to look at furries sometimes not really a furry myself but yeah i have a animal form as well i thought it was actually a wolf for a long time. But i've come to find out its actually a bear so meh.
