I'm either psychic or really smart. At least I know I'm good at predicting things that are gonna happen, based upon a pattern of past events.
So I'm at day one of my new job and its already sucking big time. But the worst is that i discover I'm sweating out there. Not sure if I mentioned before but its basically a fish factory. We cut up fish. That is like extremely unsanitary!
So I tell the guy training me. "Hey dude I got a problem, I'm sweating all over these fish."
"Don't worry about it, its fine."
Realizing he's full of shit, I went and found someone else who looked like they might be in charge (150+ people out there, all dressed the same, I can't tell) and tell him. He runs and gets a supervisor, and I see him tell the supervisor and the super just shrugs. Says its no big deal.
Fine. So I'm back there cutting up more fish, which I totally suck at because you need a really good, fine cut to do it just right and I don't have the dexterity.
Then another supervisor shows up and starts berating me. What for?
Take a big wild guess.
That's right!
SWEATING ON THE GODDAMN FISH!
"What the fuck are you doing you can't be out here sweating all over the fish!"
What bugged me was his tone - he was very clearly saying to me "You suck, you did something wrong by sweating on the fish."
And to me, being bitched at is enough punishment. It's uncomfortable and awkward and it just sucks. So being bitched at is super bad for me and I try to avoid it.
I also get argumentative, and I'm trying to explain to this fucker that I've already told three people about it, and they all said its no big deal.
He STILL acts like it's my fault and I've done something wrong. What the fuck am I supposed to do, "not sweat"?
