That's why you should carry waterproofs or an umbrella.

I've been soaked in the rain while on my motorbike; the rain even went thru my waterproofs. Uncomfortable, sure, but not life threatening. Not meaning anyone here, but some people make such a gigantic fuss about being soaked thru in the rain, you'd think it was acid rain. XD

I don't like driving in rain period, but if I want to go somewhere and it's raining I'll suck it up and drive. Everything I want/need to get to is a ten minute drive anyways, so it's not like I'm going to be driving a long distance anyways.

Plus I have better things to do then to stand at a doorway for twenty minutes for the rain to let up. Rain storms around my area can pour buckets for an hour straight before letting up for a minute then repeating for the rest of the day. My hair and makeup will survive a two minute journey to and from the car, I've got a nifty thing call a hood on my jacket or, if I remember to put in my car, an umbrella.

It's not like umbrella's are a new invention or anything.

I dislike driving in the rain, but it usually won't stop me from going out (the exception is downpours, nor'easters, and if I have to drive on I-95, too many idiots)

I don't mind walking in the rain, hair and clothes dry, and I'd be a piss poor meteorologist if I feared rain

That's my problem exactly: my umbrella is always in my car. Even when I'm not, and especially if I've gone somewhere with other people and left my car, umbrella included, at home.

In fact, for a while I had FIVE in there, and one day actually got to use them all at once, but that's another story

Rain, one more thing that makes me happy I wear my hoodie everywhere I go. Generally speaking, it'll keep me more than dry enough to live until I either

            A) Get to where I'm going
            B) Get into the car
            or
            C) Get to the car and get the umbrella

That said, everyone gets caught in a bad spot from time to time and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just annoying to those who are prepared for said people to get in the way.

If it weren't presumptuous of me to wear ACUs in public (not being a soldier and all) I would, because (if anything) they're even better

I do, however, wear my hoodie until I actually get to the ACQB and switch into ACUs before hitting the field.

You look sorta like the Shodaw Troopers from Jedi Outcast there. You know, the ones with the lightsabers? Yeah, they didn't like the rain, either.
