  • Repeating myself and being interrogated

I probably bitched about this before but I just absolutely hate repeating myself. I hate being interrogated. And thus being forced to repeat myself.

    "Did my mom call?"

    "Yep."

    "what did she want?"

"She wanted to know if she could borrow the car tonight. And to remind you to watch CSI tonight. That's all she said. She did not say anything else."

    "What else did she say?"

"She didn't say anything else. She just wanted to borrow the car and reminded us to watch CSI."

"Did she say anything about the dishes?"

/sigh "No. She wanted to borrow the car and she reminded us to watch CSI."

    "Hmm...well what about -"

"Look. All she said was she wanted to borrow the car and she wanted us to watch CSI. She didn't mention the dishes, or the cat, or the weather, or your birthday, or the state of the economy. She just said she wanted to borrow the car and she wanted us to watch tv. OK?"

"Oh, ok then. Oh wait did she say -"

I hate that! My boyfriend likes to ask exactly what my mom says on the phone, and half the time I don't even remember because it's just random crap that's going on.

    grrr....

You really don't sound like you're very happy in your relationship, DrFaroohk. Have you considered counselling?
      Point to Ponder:

Is it considered irony when someone on an internet forum makes a post that can be considered to look like it was written by a 3rd grade dropout, and they are poking fun of the fact that another person couldn't spell?

Oh c'mon Doc. You and I both know that she gave you the account numbers for the secret swiss bank account she has, and you just don't want to share.

I'm actually quite happy in my relationship with my wife, its just everything else that has taken a downward spiral. Job, family, friends, etc....I suppose I have, when it comes down to it, a really great life. It's just not the one I wanted or the one I planned for.

Ever since I was in high school I had zip for aspirations. Everyone else wanted to be lawyers and doctors or have a long and prosperous military career or something like that. I just wanted to live a nice, quiet life with a simple and easy job that just gave me enough money to get by. That's it. I don't need to have a 3 story mansion or drive a brand new million dollar car or to have the finest things in life.

The most important things to me are convenience, simplicity, quiet, etc....and at every fucking turn someone is cutting me off and just trying their damndest to make my life difficult and complicated and hectic, and then they wonder why I'm not happy.
