  • I hate my neighbors. And their KIDS

Some people just shouldn't breed. Ever. And should be forced sterilized to boot!

Quick bit of background: My apartment complex has a few signs posted around the property, advertising the maintenance line, and that if we refer a friend and they sign a lease, then we get a rental credit. They're kind of small-ish, really only big enough to catch your eye as you walk across the paths, but not glaringly huge. One such sign is outside the laundry room I use.

I went there earlier tonight, and witnessed a gaggle of darlings kicking the sign down, stomping on it, running over it with their bikes, then picking it up and putting it back together...so they could destroy it again. Now mind you, these kids are easily between the ages of 8 -10: i.e. old enough to know better

I confront them, and ask "Is there a reason y'all feel the need to vandalize the apartment complex' property?"

Their ringleader said : We're not vandalizing it, we're putting it back up, see? <He puts it back up, and stomps it back down.
Me: That's not putting it back up, that's destroying it.
Him: It's not destroying it! It won't hurt it, we done this before lots of times.
Me: It's not your property. Therefore, what you're doing is ILLEGAL. It is a CRIME. Do you understand that...?

    Blank stares. All around.

    Me: Just stop it. Now.

I walk away, and upon returning to the laundry room to switch out my clothes, I'm confronted by the mother of one of those above mentioned darlings, who proceeds to try and rip into me because naturally her little precious ran and told her about the mean lady from the #7 building who was bullying him and his friends while they were playing.

Before she can get a word in, I glared at her and told her that regardless of what her little snowflake told her, I told them to stop destroying what didn't belong to them. Naturally she had NO idea what I was talking about, and I pointed to the dented, scuffed sign, and told her what I'd caught them doing. Naturally I'm a liar, and she's reporting me to the property manager tomorrow.

Go for it, says I, for I remembered while back in my apartment that these were the same little darlings who had set a fire in the two laundry rooms last year, which EQ and I had managed to catch and I stomped one out. I asked if she was Mrs. So-and-so and she was surprised I knew her name. I explained I knew that because her wunderkind had started the fire using his homework worksheets from school with his name on them, and that got turned over to the leasing office crew. I'm sure they'd just LOVE to know her little firebugs like to kick stuff down, too.

I hate people. I don't know if I'm this pissed off because she can't parent and her twisted, vile little asswipes are still living there and doing whatever they fucking please, or if I'm just still pissed about what happened earlier and still channeling it. I ended up getting hurt at the store earlier, and have an imprint bruise of a shopping cart on my hip/upper thigh area, right where my leg curves down into the inner thigh. The situation caused me to call a woman a fucking cunt. I hate that word. And I used it. And I now have stripey bruises forming in an uncomfortable area, and I had to deal with stupid, whiny little punks on top of everything else.

    I. Hate. People.

    And kids.

    Grrrr.

Oh I hear you there! That is so annoying when people just let their kids fuck around with other people's property. And destroy it. I taught my kids to respect other people's property and now they are really possessive of their things and don't want people messing with that either. My kids didn't destroy things cause they know they would have gotten an ass kicking if they did

I would report THEM first for the vandalism, looks like mom gets to pay for the damage eh? You have done nothing wrong here.

So far people in my new complex seem decent and grown up...thank god.

I feel for you. The crackwhore elephant at my old apartment and her baby rhinos were just simply out of control.

Where I live now is all apartments/duplexes/etc.....and since it was so nice out today, I was out for a smoke and nearly all of my neighbors happened to be.

There were some bratlings riding their bikes by the fence that goes around the pool, and the little shits were trying to bust the lock that keeps it closed, and then decided to climb the fence.

Thankfully, one of the older downstairs neighbors can get that creepy angry old man channelled that scares children shitless (he's really a great guy, it's just a good quality of his hehehe). The little shits took off in a hurry.

They were most likely the spawn of all the dope induced retards across the street or down the street, where it's not so nice. These were most likely the same kids that, last fall, would commonly ride past on their bikes and throw rocks at all of our cars, to see how many cars they could hit or how many windows they could break.

wow, blas, you're being so vague. Tell me how you really feel about 'em, please?

I went out to where the sign is, now in the bright light of the evil daystar, and it's scuffed, marked, and bent. but, of course that doesn't mean it's destroyed. Friggin' hooligans. I went to the leasing office and told the person on duty what I had seen, and the name of the little brat that I remembered.

It wasn't the kids so much at the last place, it was the mother who allowed them to scream all the time, really.

And when it comes to kids throwing rocks at MY car, trust me, that was being nice calling them that. There are other things I want to call them, but out of respect for the parents on this site and the rules, I won't. They are lucky I was inside and didn't see it. My neighbor saw and phoned the cops but nothing came of it.....there are too many apartments and kids around here to know who belongs where, and my neighbor even told me that once one of their rocks actually hit a car, they took off as quick as they could. Probably because they knew someone was watching.

There's an ornamental cherry tree right outside my apartment. For some reason, I've decided that it's my tree.

It's the little red tree in this picture. http://picasaweb.google.com/DracoEyr...08024404657554

Well, some little hellions thought it was a good idea to not only climb in it, but to start pulling one of the branches down to the ground and letting it snap up. Took a couple of times of me yelling at them to stop and then a couple of times of me standing out on my porch glaring at them for them to stop it. I think that they're scared of me now. And that's fine.
We may have come out of the kitchen, but we still know where the sharp objects are kept.

                Lupo, you'll love this.

After I posted before, I took a nap. When I got up, I went out for a smoke, and the little bastards were back.

Someone had put an office chair by the dumpster sometime while I'd been asleep. Not sure if the dumpster was too full or if they were just being lazy. There's already a huge couch next to the dumpster with a note on it that someone is going to take it (but they haven't for almost a week). So the little brats were jumping up and down on the couch (which got soaked all last week while it rained) and then they noticed that hey, this chair has WHEELS!

So what did they decide to do after they initially found out that it rolled?

They started running into it with their bikes and sending it along towards people's cars!

Thankfully, Sheriff came running out of his apartment (he must have been watching from his window...thank gosh not watching me for once!) after them, and they took off like roaches when you turn the lights on.

                  <eyebrow twitching>

                  Just....guuuuh.

                  Kids. >.>

Sheriff may be a fuckup, from reading your posts, but at least his peeping obsession was marginally useful this time...

I didn't want to say anything to him, in fear he'd nonstop yack at me for 45 minutes, so I just went inside.

When I went back outside after I got ready and was about to leave, I saw the chair was gone. Someone must have either taken it or put it in the dumpster where it belonged.

The brats appeared to be of school age, so I doubt they'll be back anytime this week that I can catch them and call the cops, since I have to sleep all day. Thankfully, all my downstairs neighbors are retired and don't leave often and are always outside in the spring and summer all day.

The apartment directly over ours seems to be cursed...all manner of weird tenants who wound up getting kicked out for one reason or another (underage drinking, parties, we had one guy who would cook in the nude with his door open and set off the fire alarms). Every large apartment building has to have at least one unit designated for "Section 8" and I think that's it.

Currently, there's a family with 2 small kids...pretty much all they do is tear-ass around their apartment. Stuff on top of my desk hutch has fallen over with no apparent cause; we think it's vibrations from upstairs coming through the floor/walls. It's gotten so that the people living below us and next to us can hear them at times...the couple next to the troublemakers moved in to get away from noise, so mom's curious if they can hear them as well.

If nothing else, we can use them as an alarm clock...every morning starting at about 7. Banging on the ceiling works, but not for very long. This is supposed to be a "quiet" building.
