  • Whoops where am I again?

I understand that locker rooms are for changing clothing. I understand that we don't have a locker room. We do have bathroom stalls which okay I can see using to change in.

Now that being stated please for the love of god use them!!!

I walked into the bathroom at work yesterday and there was a guy from another department standing there in full view in his tighty whities apparently in the middle of changing his clothes.

People at my office are way too relaxed with each other. I think they forget that we are coworkers and not everyone here sees them as our other family. This is where I come to work your not my friend much less my brother and I really don't want to see that.

This is why I make sure to schedule my workouts so that I leave before water aerobic classes are over.

Two or three times of having to see tons of naked old women was enough for me. Although it's relieving to know that eventually you do get over feeling negatively about your body and how it looks, yee gads not everyone wants to see that. The bathroom stalls are giant for this reason. Any time I use the pool or hot tub I change in the stalls.

If I am just changing pants or a top, I could care less if anyone sees me in my bra and skivvies, but I am not letting the whole montey hang out like that for an entire room of people to see.

Ugh...I hated college for that reason. Especially the douchebags who did it on purpose.

The shower stalls even had room to get dressed in them too, but nooooooo. You have to show off your manly body and go traipsing through the halls in just a little towel that you don't even shut all the way. Then you take the long way back to your room, to make sure everyone can see your cutlines and your sideass.

And shaving and brushing your teeth? Fuck, can't do that before showering. Can't get dressed and then do it. Gotta make sure you're bareass naked, standing in front of the sink acting like its no big deal.

      Cover your fucking body up!!!!!!!!

I am never comfortable changing in locker rooms so I try to go to gyms near home so I can change at home. In this case we aren't a gym it's just the restroom that he changes into his workout clothes.

I don't feel uncomfortable at all seeing people changing. Though, of course, I can understand why others wouldn't. I think it's a caveat of going into a locker-room/communal bathroom environment though.

            Actors. Dressing rooms. Corsets.

            I no longer have modesty.

Seriously, you don't know fun until you've been in a room with 7 women lacing up corsets, adjusting bum rolls, and applying boob makeup. While the guys are in the next room trying to figure out knickers and hose (and determining whether or not they need a dance belt - one guy, um, did.)

Junior year of college, I started de-clothing outside the shower stall. Why? The shower stall was small as hell. You got clothes wet taking them off if you tried it in the shower and you got your clean clothes wet putting them on which is gross. So I gave up and started undressing right outside the shower stall. After I started doing it, all the freshmen (it was mostly freshmen and sophomores in my dorm) started doing it too. But I'd definitely prefer to change out of sight if I could.

When it comes to change rooms, I will nip inside the nearest shower stall available and change.

Gym? Sure I'll have a shower since I know I'm bussing afterwards.

                  Dressing rooms. No problem

But yes I do have a problem walking into a public restroom and seeing a guy standing there in his undies.

A public washroom is not a place where it is expected that one would remove their clothes.

When someone using a public washroom is in a state of partial undress, there are stalls provided for privacy.

This means that the social expectation of a public washroom is that you won't be displaying your goods to whomever might walk in.

Dressing rooms, locker rooms, backstage during a theatre production -- these are all completely different situations that have nothing to do with jackfaire's original point. These are all places where it is socially expected that one will (or at least can) remove their clothes.
