OK, so next semester I'm transferring down to UVU. Now, this is a 35 mile drive for me which normally would not be bad... only problem being that starting later this year UDOT is starting the largest interstate construction project that they've underdone in the last 25 years, want to place any bets on where it is... yup, in the last 20 of the 35 miles that I have to drive. UDOT is begging people to take alternative routes/means of traveling. Here though is the problem they are doing work on the 15, which in many areas between where I live and where I will have to commute is the only way to get through.
If they would put of the construction by two years (which yes, is a long time, but traffic is not going to be increasing that much on that corridor with how much growth has slowed recently, so putting it off won't hurt that much) then Frontrunner would already be completed when they start the freeway work people could use Frontrunner as an alternative to the 15 freeway.
As it stands now the freeway work will be completed the same time as the Frontrunner extension... yeah, that is the shittiest timing I've heard of from the government... and we all know just how bad the government can be.
Yeah, this will be a fun two years
