Pick up the phone and call!

Took my father-in-law to work this morning and I told him to make sure he calls me at break time and let me know how many trucks delivered fish today and how many bins of fish were yet to be processed. I needed this information so I could plan my day around picking him up.

Now it's past noon and I still haven't heard from him. So he'll probably call right at the last minute and say "Work's all done, come get me now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Friggin tard. I gave him one simple instruction which takes virtually no effort on his part and he's got to go ahead and do the opposite just to mess up my day.

I hear you there. Not work related, but I hate when I have plans with someone, I plan on not sleeping or just napping and being ready on time so I simply ask to get a call letting me know it's time to go, and my stupid boyfriend or stupid friends won't call and I end up having to call/text them and then all of sudden they finally get back to me "Deeerrrrr yeah uh so this and this happened so uh yeah I'm sorry errr I guess it's too late now huh?" and it's far too late for our movie or the restaurants are closed, etc.

Unless it was an emergency or something really important, why in the hell do some people not realize that it's incredibly rude and most importantly selfish and immature to NOT call the person/people you have plans with?

Or you find out they forgot to call you to let you know when to meet them they all want then you get a call the next day and they ask why you never showed up.

No, no, Jack....it's assumed that Dr will sit and wait and put his entire life on hold for this, I assume.

It's wrong to assume, but I can't help but do it these days. People seem to think they can just puppeteer other people in their lives.

Oh I hate that. Let me know when you are on your way. That way, I can take a fast shower and be ready when you get here. When I tell you that, don't wait til you are down the block. And do not get pissed if I am not ready at that moment.

Once we had an investigation, it got cancelled. Okay we were going to hang out, so I did not bring the equipment. But when it was to late, we got told that the investigation was back on. I mean WTH?
