Do not lead, for I may not follow. Do not follow, for I may not lead. Just go over there somewhere.

So if you're okay with walking out naked, semi naked or whatever, then a fat person doing the same thing across from you in full view won't be a problem. Right?
Or would we see a new thread from Panda? The one about the naked fat man showing his vertical smile when bending over to pick up the morning paper or whatever.
And btw the I'll just won't look argument doesn't wash. At times you're going to see things you just don't mean to see.If I can't bitch, I'll explode- blas87

No, I'm not turning this into an anti-smoking rant...in fact, I quit smoking in January. Thank God I didn't gain much weight though, because it would be HORRIBLE if we lived in the same town and you had to see me.
But I digress. You seem to keep falling back on this arguement about fat people causing us all to pay higher health care rates. Why aren't you ripping on smokers? Don't they cause higher health care rates too?
Despite my snarkiness, I'm genuinely curious. It's interesting to me to get a feel for how your mind works, because I've never seen anything like it - seriously.

Not even my mind Peppergirl? Me sad.
Well, with smokers, same with drinkers and other drug users. They clog the system too. Their's are a choice too.Toilet Paper has been "bath tissue" for the longest time, and it really chaps my ass - Blas

I agree smokers cause alot of problems as well. Not as many though plus some fat people are also smokers doubling the negatives
Are you actually, seriously saying smoking causes less problems than being fat?Do not lead, for I may not follow. Do not follow, for I may not lead. Just go over there somewhere.

I don't know the exact stats, but I know from family experience that breast cancer (which is simpler to treat than lung cancer) will cost between $100-200k.
Not to mention, smokers directly effect those around them in ways other than looking unpleasant (many people have allergies to cigarette smoke, I personally get migraines if I'm exposed), yet you don't see me demanding that smoking be outlawed.
Illegal drugs are another one that negatively affect all people (tax dollars for prison terms, higher rates of violent crime, and with certain drugs extremely rapid spread of diseases, HIV being one of the worst).
Hell, we want to talk about the biggest cost to the nation?
Driving.
Millions of dollars being sent out of country for oil.
The environmental and health damages from oil spills.
The health costs from smog.
The lost time stuck in traffic.
Countless deaths directly from unsafe driving.
I don't see you railing against people who drive.
Almost everything that everyone does in some way negative."I'm Gar and I'm proud" -slytovhand

Illegal drugs, such as crank, cocaine, heroin are not needed, and cause just as much, if not more, problems to healthcare.
People MURDER for those drugs.
People do NOT murder for Little Debbie cakes.Toilet Paper has been "bath tissue" for the longest time, and it really chaps my ass - Blas

I've known lots of overweight people, hell I've admitted that I am overweight, and thus am beneath contempt- a disgusting subhuman in Red Panda's eyes. And neither myself, nor any of the overweight folk I know have EVER "Eaten all the boxes of Little Debbie's the store has", or anywhere near close to that. Just where does red get the idea that all larger people MUST be pigs who eat everything in sight?
And for the record, I've seen skinny people who move with far less grace then I do. I may be chubby, but I handle a mean sword. Or two of them. I've seen slim people make hopeless fools of themselves trying some of the things I do.
Honestly, Red- you've got one hell of a hypocritical mindset going on. You spew such hate at those of us who aren't slim and presumably as "perfect" as you. How would you like being made fun of? Accused of having eating disorders and being told to "eat a damn sandwich" the next time you decide to let it all hang out on the balcony?

I'm not necessarily supporting a government ban of trans fats, but I'd hate for someone to assume they're safe from heart disease because they're skinny. You're not. Eating crap may not make you gain weight, but your pulmonary system will still pay the price.
