start small take on Fark first-it'ls like 4chan but not as scary(and well failing that isn't so bad)-heck I'm 34 and won't go near 4chan-I both fear and respect them, equal parts fear/respect.

Now, I will admit the Jessi Slaughter incident was bad on her part b/c she pretty much dug herself a grave by provoking people. What I don't get is why people don't have a problem with the 4chaners finding her personal information and prank calling/stalking her. That has to be some sort of electronic crime. I'm sorry, but once you resort to a crime, no matter what someone said to you on the Internet, you deserve all the wrath law enforcement can give you.

True enough, but I checked out her entry on Encyclopedia Dramatica and watched her videos. She shouldn't have been allowed in the first place to have a flipping webcam at her age, let alone to tell random strangers that she fucks til she bleeds. If it hadn't been 4chan, it would have been a group of random trolls jumping on that.

A better example of someone railroaded by the internet would be Mosh Girl (Moshzilla) All she did was simply get her freak on a little too enthusiastically, and loads of people took her photo and ran with it.

Thats not that bad, they aren't personal attacks or anything. I think what Lue did to JustShana's live journal would be a better example of a completly undserived attack. In that case a girl who had committed suicide had her live journal changed to a memorial page by her parents and members of Lue attacked it by posting offensive messages.

That is the thing with 4 Chan. Typically if they go after somebody its after that person does some sort of trolling themselves. Its totally possible she was playing a role in a game that she made.
