It's all right kimmik. I read it as it was, that four year difference is nothing for adults, because it would NOT have made sense otherwise as you have written, what with the don't get me wrong, and adding BUT they are this age.

I hope she gets found soon, if it's found out that he had sex with her then his ass is going to jail.

Something I forgot to mention yesterday...

When I was that precocious little teenaged girl with older teen/adult guys, I'd constantly be made to promise "Don't tell on me, I don't want to go to prison!" seriously, until the day I turned 18, I'd hear that. These guys damn well know the consequences of having sexual relations with underage girls, they do it anyway, and try to make the girls promise they won't tell on them.

Now, herein lies where they are both at fault. Number one, the guys shouldn't do it anyway because it's illegal and even IF the young girl is immature and ruins your life by "telling" on you.....um, hello? This is what happens when you break the law.

But, but but but. You gotta realize, now matter how young or inexperienced, or, because I like this word so much, precocious these young things may be, these little girls DO know also that it's illegal. They know these boys can get in trouble. Why so often do you think (say for instance) a 14 year old girl will rat out an 18 year old guy that she was sleeping with when he breaks it to her that he doesn't want to date her? They know how to play it. Dumb on the guy part for trying to make them promise or even believe that the girl won't do it, but also not right that the girl can just have the power to have the guy thrown away.

Maybe that makes it seem a bit like I changed my mind, but I haven't. Guys still ought to know better. I myself never turned any of them in because none of them raped me or forced me to do anything, even though they knew full well that I wasn't mature or emotionally stable enough to handle such an adult thing, I knew what I was getting into and I wasn't going to send some guy to prison or make him a sex offender because I did spread my legs for them willingly. Sure, it pissed me off that they'd say "Don't tell on me, k?" or if they'd turn me down as a gf, they'd say "Please don't go to the cops!"

I guess this is why I will always think these older teen/adult guys are slimeballs. Not that I excuse what some young girls do to get "even" with these guys, but it's all better in the long run if it never happens period.

He won't. He isn't 18. This isn't staturay rape, this is two kids having sex.

That may depend. In some states, 17 is age of consent....and a 17 year old boy could face legal troubles for being with a 13 year old girl.

Odds are she's below the age of consent. In Jersey, a 17 year old guy could have sex with his 15 year old girlfriend. Both are minors. Still considered statuatory rape.

That's what I was trying to say. It varies from state to state, but if the other party is under the age of consent, it's considered statutory rape.

Blas, interestingly, this reminds me of a few manga I have read. In fact, the matter of the "young girl ratting out the lecherous man" comes about in one episode featured in Hell Girl. The fille fatale calls forth the titular character once her teacher (the lecher) rejects her. In the manga, it was making it pretty clear that the girl was the innocent, while the man wasn't (he wasn't, but no blame was placed on the girl either).

I mean, I understand it's all a huge mess, that's why I don't advocate it. While people argue that girls mature faster than boys and that most girls go for older guys anyway or that maturity levels are about equal, it's not the same when it comes to sex and intimacy and more mature relationships.

We can't stop teens from having sex or older guys from going after the younger girls, but it would stop a lot of trouble.

If a guy forces a girl to have sex, it is rape. However, too often, the young girl gets dumped by the older guy after she's of no sexual use to him anymore, so she rats him out to the cops. More fault with the guy for playing with fire, obviously, but the girl just having the power to get him arrested.......see why it's better off leaving alone and not doing it?

If I had a son that was 17+ seeing a girl who was much younger, I'd ask him if getting his dick wet was worth being a sex offender over. I've often asked some of my male peers if dating a girl that much younger than them is worth it. Sure, girls their own age are into older guys or aren't as "easy", but there's a lot more to relationships than sex. And guilt free sex is a lot better anyway.

That's a conversation I need to have with my 18 year old cousin. The girl he's "friends" with (her parents won't let her date him since he's 18) is 16. Her parents caught them making out (that's the story I was told anyway) and refused to let them date proving them already hostile towards any relationship between them. I hope he knows just how much trouble he can get in though if he does anything further with her and pisses her or her parents off somehow.

Yes, yes, and yes. How in the world did I forget the parents of the girl?

A lot of times, the parents will turn the guy in, even if the girl is willingly having sex with them. Hell, sometimes even when they haven't even had sex! It's just too much damn trouble and a hassle.

I bet you anything if it is a 17 is an adult state that if he had sex with her his parents would protect him, by saying something along the lines of "Our innocent little boy was seduced by that little slut", or something. I mean if they lied about knowing where both of them were, what's to stop them from blaming the situation on her instead of their own kid who has a frickin (juvie/criminal) record?

I agree so much with what you said about how the young girls know how to play it. Yes, I understand the older party should know better, but I agree with your opinion that the younger party knows how to play the part. ITA with these paragraphs 100%
