  • Peach Fuzz

I don't understand why women have to have peach fuzz. We are supposed to be soft and beautiful.

I have little bleach blonde hairs on my hands and above my knuckles, and longer hairs all over my arms. There is peach fuzz by my lips and chin. There is peach fuzz that goes from my cleavage to down my belly. I even have fuzz on my feet and by my toes.

    It's so gross.

The worst part of it all, is my only option is to a) shave the body hair. Which just doesn't seem right. A guy like my bf can manscape if he wants to be rid of body hair, but why should a woman have to do that, plus that's just not womanly-like to shave your belly or your arms and fingers and feet. Or, b) I can use Nair and burn it all off, or c) I can use Veet, which hardly works on my legs, so it doesn't do much for peach fuzz.

I am so tempted to order a No No or one of those other hair removal things off of the TV. Waxing my face hurts so badly.

Imagine having those since you were 14. I have "fuzz" except mine is very dark and coarse, on my neck, chin, cheeks, and in a line below my naval. I hate it! I had laser treatment done on my face and it helped but it's still there and, ashamed as I am of it, I actually shave twice a week or so to keep it under control. It's disgusting and makes me feel ugly...thankfully my husband is understanding and doesn't care about the extra hair, he's made me feel better about it ever since we've been together.

Ugh, I feel you. Luckily, my arm hair is blond, so it's not so bad. I do have one of those little trimmer things to take care of the girlstache and a couple of other spots on my face. I do shave my toes, though. That grosses me out.

My fuzz is blonde too. It just bothers me. I don't see why it's necessary.

Especially this past summer, I'd get out of the shower and be putting lotion on, the sun beaming into my room and looking into the mirror, I'd see all of the peach fuzz in all of its glory. I don't feel like a woman sometimes because of it.

It doesn't bother my bf or really anyone else, just me. Of course I'll notice it because I'm the one who has to deal with it. I just wish I could have it all removed, except the hair on my head, my eyebrows, and my eyelashes.

This made me smile a bit because my (female) cousin once said the EXACT same thing. Laser treatment helps but is not 100% effective, especially on fine, blond hairs.

We're mammals. One of our defining characteristics as such is possessing hair. I see nothing wrong with having body hair myself. Little girls are supposed to be smooth and hairless, adult women are not.

True we are mammals and part of the food chain and all that but we are also in a higher class with more capabilities than other animals and as such have developed civilization, and a mark of civilization are grooming habits such as hair removal.

I've never understood why people get all weirded out by things like body hair and the like.

Although, I really do wish the hairs on my arms and legs weren't so blasted dark. >_<

I'd recommend using depilatory creams designed for the face instead of shaving.

The hair on my face is pale and sparse, so it's not really noticeable. But I still remove it because I find my makeup goes on more smoothly if I do.

Unfortunately, my skin is extremely sensitive to creams, deodorants, moisturizers, soap, anything I put on it. Most things make me either break out, or at the very least, make the area turn red and itchy for about a day. I'll look in to it. But the reason I don't use things like Veet is because they hurt.

Call me kinky or weird, but I kinda like a little peach fuzz on the ladies.

But not that dark, oogah-boogah orangutan hair.

I can agree with hating the body hair. If you have peach fuzz, be happy with it. I am a lot of extra body hair because my hormones are out of control.

I've thought about doing the laser treatment but it costs so much. I do home waxing to control the hair but it can be painful. I have also used the hair removal creams but I always get chemical burns from them. Yes, I have tried the ones for sensitive skin but I still get the burns. It sucks!!

I like Boozy's suggestion but unfortunately my face is such an oil/zit factory that anything I try on my face usually leads to several break outs, so it's better to just keep my peachy fuzzy chin and around my lips than to have just trails of zits going around my lips and chin, which is what ends up happening

I'm part Italian....I get the 'stach. Even with creams there is still a shadow of what was.
